He was born April 1863 St Louis,Mo. He was a physician who was living with Ada widow William H in 1900 in St Louis. He moved to Los Angeles after 1920 and was last listed 1930 1605 W 71st St physician City Health Department. No death certificate in California.

Harry Ely 1892

He was with the Pennsylvania State League 1892 and with Hazleton,Pa 1894. He was listed as living at 1257 Cotton St, Reading Pa in 1897. The closest I could find was Isaac H Ely who was living at 1269 Cotton St. In 1900 census born Feb 1867 Pa. Last address as Isaac H was 1917 @535 S 15th. In 1925/6 there was a Harry I Ely Kutztown Rd, Hyde Park, Reading but I don’t know about him.

Joseph Fagin 1895

For some reason this player was called Frederick H Fagin. There is no evidence from his appearance for that. Joe Fagin was a semi pro Cincinnati catcher at the time the game was played in Cincy? I don’t have direct proof but I feel this is a good choice for Fagin 1895.

Joseph T Fagin is the Cincinnati catcher and was born March 1866 Cincinnati and died 1947, probably in Cincinnati.

Samuel S Fletcher 1909

He was born 1883 in Unionport,Pa. He was in the 1910 census living with his new wife in Unionport. In 1918 his widow reappears in the Unionport CD

Edward J Flynn 1887

Born June 25, 1864 Chicago, Ill. This fellow, upon retiring from Base Ball, was trained in the Chicago College of Dental Surgery, graduating in 1889. In the winter of 1889/90 he was in Pueblo, Colorado. He reappeared in Chicago about 1895 with his mother Sarah A (Cochran) Flynn, sister Alice M Flynn, brother George A Flynn, the 1896 player who we had not previously known was Ed’s brother and brother William B Flynn.

1900 census Sarah A Flynn 1835 Ireland son Edward June 1865 Ill Dentist son George May 1871 Ill Commercial traveller daughter Alice M June 1869 Pension Office clerk. In the Sporting News in 1907, it said that he was in Camp Creek, Colorado.

Edward J Flynn dentist was in the 1923 Chicago CD 1418 N LaSalle , Chicago. The 1928 Directory is incomplete an Flynn is missing. But he does appear in the 1928 Polk’s Dental Register. The next register was in 1947.
